Acceptable use
This policy applies to every website hosted by Kohmera. It is short because the sites we host are small business websites and the rules are common sense.
Allowed
A website that presents a real business: what it does, where it is, how to reach it, what it costs, what customers say, and photos the business has the right to use.
Not allowed
- Content that is illegal in Canada or in the country where the business operates.
- Selling or promoting regulated products without the licence the law requires (for example cannabis, firearms, prescription medicine, financial products).
- Copyright material the business does not own or have permission for: photos taken from other websites, copied text, logos of other companies.
- Misleading claims: fake reviews, invented credentials, "official" or "government" language, prices or guarantees that are not real.
- Impersonating another business or person.
- Hate, harassment, or content that targets people for who they are.
- Adult content.
- Malware, phishing, hidden redirects, or anything that attacks visitors or other sites.
- Using the site as a spam landing page or for bulk unsolicited messaging.
What happens
If we find something on this list we tell you by email and give you 48 hours to fix it, unless the risk to visitors is immediate, in which case we take the page down first and tell you straight after. Repeated or serious breaches end the subscription under the Terms of Service; your web address always stays yours.
Reporting
If a site we host breaks these rules, email shawn@kohmera.com with the address and what you found. We look at every report within 2 working days.
